As you are well aware the emerald ash borer has hit Ann Arbor hard, losing almost 20 percent of the tree canopy. In addition to the removal of an estimated 10,000 ash trees, the City of Ann Arbor has a strong commitment to the replanting. This emerald ash borer recovery effort, in addition to a less vigorous economy has significantly reduced the Forestry’s resources. The $6,150 of donated services, including pruning, tree removal, and lightning protection could not have come at a better time!
